Kundalini Problems

Question: My experience with meditating (perhaps too much) with kundalini erergy was that it blew a hole in the back of my head on one of my "electrical bodies." I experienced painful, scary explosions in my head for over a year, I was recieving spiritual insights that were too high to handle, I fell from one dimension to an other. I am amazed that I made it through that year. No earthly doctor, psychologist, psychiatrist could have helped me as this is beyond their arena.

I just don't want to see an other be in the same position without someone who could really help. At the same time I've had some very serious meditation related problems seven years ago, which I've managed to recover from. Is it not dangerous to give razor blades (Kundalini energy practice) to monkeys (unexperienced meditation practitioners). I do not mean my comments to be judgemental. I'd just like to see your viewpoint.

Anami: I am sorry to hear about your experience and wish you well.

I meet people like you every day here in Sedona AZ and in my classes. This is one of the reasons why I am compelled to teach. People who study my teachings practice powerful, subtle grounding techniques, as well as basic spiritual qualities such as simplicity, that prevent experiences like yours from ever happening.

If a person has a teacher to guide them through the various stages in a quiet, humble, graceful way, then spiritual growth becomes a gentle, pleasurable experience. Life is seen as a journey full of sweet surprises.

Transformation creates ups and downs. It is how you deal with them that can strengthen the alchemical bond between self and Self. If you identify with the experience (good or bad), you become lost. If you identify with the changeless, immortal Self, you are fee.

Most teachers who have had to struggle with the ego to awaken the kundalini teach that awakening is dangerous because they went so through many problems. It doesn't have to be that way. Just because most Indian teachers who come to the West say one thing doesn't make it so. You must think outside the box when it comes to metaphysics just as in any endeavour. The kundalini is simple, natural, and fun. Affirm this and it becomes your reality. (Of course you will have to let go of many dearly held beliefs.)
