Astronauts of the soul ascend upwards by nurturing themselves as much as they would love a helpless babe. The body feels increasingly light and the mind increasingly clear. They rocket beyond faith into the science of conscious evolution. The throat chakra is the seat of expression and alchemy. To have the kundalini move to this point, we must freely express our hearts, our insights, our shame and guilt until the past no longer holds us back. Then we become endlessly creative. To ascend higher, we must learn to transmute this energy into something more subtle. We see that emotions, intellect, and the arts can inspire us up to the crown chakra--but not into the next octave. Inner light and music must become our inner art. As ice turns to water, then to vapor, so does It requires all our courage and focus to reach the third eye. We see love and light equally in everything. We learn to consciously enter light without a near-death experience. This is the art of dying to live (Week 48). "Those afraid to die never learn to live." Inwardly, we enter a bright white light while our physical bodies bathe in a healing bliss. The enchanting call of celestial music guides us further within. Meditation stops being difficult and becomes a delightful adventure inwards. "The kingdom of God is within." --Luke 17:21 The crown chakra opens as the ego stops resisting; we allow powerful energy to flow up through our heads. We have moved well beyond the cycle of struggle. Heaven is where we are. Our bodies move closer to the frequency of light (ascension). The Heart of Freedom So where is the seat of the soul? Where should we keep our attention? Some Buddhists and martial artists advise focusing on the point of physical balance, a point behind the belly button. They encourage techniques such as the belly breath to entrain the mind to the healing rhythms of the body. Some yogis emphasize the third eye. By keeping our attention there, they say, all the chakras open in a balanced way. They speak about the glories of going into light and meeting teachers on the inner planes who reveal life's mysteries. Astronauts of the soul ascend beyond the chakras to the Self, the Heart. They shift from seeking balance to being balanced; from seeking light to being light. They realize that psychic exploration is born in duality and leads to duality; that mystical experiences are for nought if we identify with the experience rather than the One who is experiencing (see self-inquiry, Week 19). Astronauts of the soul go beyond astral-plane traps by tracing the origins of ego. They invert their attention into their deepest Self, the Heart, the center of awareness and then become That. They find that they (the soul) do not exist in any secret place in the subtle body. They live eternally awake beyond the illusions of space-time. They find One light--the light of the Self. Their crown chakras open exponentially. They become One Big Heart that encompasses all. The Heart is the Whole Enchilada. Concepts of where the seat of the soul is dissolve into One Big Laugh. Where they once saw many (dualities), they now see One. Thus Heart masters hold both the power of peace (the third chakra) and the vision of the seer (the third eye). Heart masters become wizards. They surrender to the present and problems dissolve--innocent magic. Everything becomes their teacher; whatever helps energy flow up assists in their awakening. Whatever pulls them down is their old personality crying for wisdom and healing. Whatever takes them instantly within is their personality transforming into their higher self--the Heart.
Beyond joy is bliss.
Ecstasy Ascending Ascending the chakras means integrating higher forms of pleasure. Each chakra must be explored and mastered. The seven levels of pleasure are (corresponding to the chakras): relaxation, sensual pleasure, peace, human love, joy, bliss, and ecstasy (universal love). Each level builds on the level below it. Each "higher" chakra is also opened by a deeper "inner" connection. Sensual pleasure is not possible without the ability to relax. Peace is not possible without mastery of the physical dimension (the first three chakras). Love is only a concept without self-love (inner peace). Joy sings forth from a happy heart. Bliss comes to those who consciously nurture their joy, and find divine love everywhere. Ecstasy is the fruit of people sharing their light, of uniting in love with everything they see or touch. There is no end to how high our ecstasy can ascend. When our minds become free of judgement, we transcend the limits of physical reality and begin growing on a higher level. Every higher level has more subtle limitations and illusions--and freedoms. Soul Travel, Time Travel People can have "out-of-body" experiences during medical operations and accidents. The body goes into shock and the kundalini is forcefully awakened. This enables people to leap beyond their normal perceptual experience. They often report entering white light and having a spiritual awakening that forever changes their perspective on "reality." Wizards take such quantum leaps (Week 49) by dying to what they think the universe is--and gleefully explore the frontiers of consciousness. They love letting go--and nurture silent wonder during waking, dreaming, and meditation. There is no inside or outside. You are the world. Conscious soul travel into light (beyond the etheric, astral, and mental planes) requires a complete shifting of polarities (Week 7) and perception. It is one thing to go into light a few times, and quite another to keep the soul aligned with light every moment. You gradually learn to do this by practicing light meditation every day. You learn that soul travel is the ascent of spirit through the chakras. Its purpose: to move beyond the chatter of the mind into the garden of the soul. You become satisfied with only the Sun itself--not endless astral travels into ever more beguiling realms of mind and illusion, fears and follies. To desire to leave the body without clear spiritual intent invites confusion. This is why mystics strongly advise to seek only God. This gently awakens the kundalini and opens the seven seals. As you surrender and decide not to seek psychic experiences, the paradox is that you are on the quickest path of psychic development. As you open, your challenge will be to remain true to your spiritual awakening or suffer psychic boomerangs. When you live for love and wisdom, life takes care of you. "First seek ye the kingdom of God; You may experience time travel in deep meditation, lucid dreaming, and sometimes in a genuine déjà vu experience (when consciousness suddenly awakens beyond the mental plane). You can also experience time travel in conscious ecstasy. You connect with the multidimensional self that joyfully guides your personality. Your third eye opens and dimensions unfold before you and within. As time dissolves, life's mysteries unfold. If you seek time travel as an escape or to control events, then the visions will be clouded. Realize that the past and future are contained in the present. All wisdom comes from heaven--now. Multidimensional Being Multidimensional being is the ability to consciously interact on many levels of reality simultaneously. It is a gift of living in unity (Week 43), of creating mandalas of blissful harmony. A mandala is a multidimensional holographic image of a universe of infinite dimensions--every part of the picture contains the whole. Your aura is a precise mandala of who you are. By using your third eye to glance within at your auric pictures, you see the reality that you are creating and adjust it whenever you are inspired to raise your consciousness. As you awaken to the world of mandalas, you fine-tune your ability to live in grace. Often your third eye will see auric symbols. These will require your intuitive interpretation, as do your dreams. You learn to trust your interpretation, but also to be flexible enough to see an even wider understanding stemming from a recent realization. You flow. All of who you are is one infinitely complex mandala, connected to every other person and every part of the universe. Within your mandala is a gateway (a "wormhole") to every other part of the universe. As your attention deepens (as your chakras open), you find greater levels of beauty and pleasure; and discover more gateways and higher frequencies of freedom and delight. So incorporate the principle of a relaxed body and an awakened self to learn how to dream when awake--to be a seer. You will become aware of more dimensions and interact with the reality of your choice. Or not. You will gain choices but may prefer choiceless freedom. (Week 46) You gain choices by relaxing into ecstasy. Your third eye opens and a more uplifting possibility appears. You realize your power and effortlessly embrace the greatest good. You see the cause and effect of mysteries. You clairvoyantly see mandalas to be as real as physical reality and walk into them as a multidimensional being. Your past and future are changed The more precisely you see who you are now, the more precisely you will see your future. The past can be healed when you discover that what you thought was "bad" was perfect for your growth. Most importantly, it has brought you here--into the magic. So discover how simple alchemy is: just go beyond a limited image into light. Light reveals how to adjust your inner pictures to magnetize a brighter reality. You see that your aura carries all that you were and all that you will be. By dissolving all images, you end time. Images are droplets on the quiet pool of your soul. Each droplet creates concentric circles affecting your past, future, and multidimensional realities. In the present, problems dissolve into ecstasy and wisdom. The pool of your mind becomes a clear mirror to see your Self. Laughing Dragons and Star Travel Laughing Dragons are boiling infernos of passion and lightness. They feel the equality of all life, and bow down to each moment in such absolute reverence that, to mortals, they seem to be stuck in the moment--or walking backwards through time. After millions of years of wandering through dark forests, Laughing Dragons realize they create their own worlds, their own dreams, their own mountains to climb-their own joys. They know that a tree can either be a knight to be slain or a circus canopy--or simply a tree. While humans have been struggling for eons, Laughing Dragons have been quietly learning about themselves and enjoying life. They decided long ago that they prefer pleasure to suffering, freedom to slavery, love to separateness. Now they simply stay centered in a happy life. For Laughing Dragons, smelling a flower is a holy ceremony. Looking at a cloud is a celebration. Talking to a friend is a rebirth. Anchored in life, Laughing Dragons see beauty everywhere. Above all, Laughing Dragons love to fly. Then they fly, they feel most whole, most free. But they are not content with flying only through the atmosphere--they want to travel to the stars. Why? Because they can, and because they want to share laughter with the myriad Laughing Dragons scattered across the heavens. Even when they fail to break through the atmosphere, the very attempt at the so-called "impossible" is the most life-affirming experience they know. It requires them to use every aspect of their being in a perfectly harmonized way. They have found a fascinating connection between their love for all of life and their success in ascending in ecstasy to the stars. Perhaps you've heard them sing, "Lightness of Heart equals lightness of body. And to the degree that they feel lightness in the Heart, and divine laughter in the belly, they can transfigure their bodies into light; they can travel away from this planet and explore the playground of the whole universe. Laughing Dragons prefer to listen and learn rather than talk. When asked how they discovered their own freedom, they become dumbstruck, unable to grasp something that never really started and will never really end. But when asked how to fly, they have no problem speaking--for you have touched their soul. In the twinkling of an eye, they may leave and converse with other Laughing Dragons light years away, then return with fiery wisdom. Then they will suggest giving up all concepts so that you may fly--all by your Self. "Open your Heart and smile" is their magic formula. "This universe is a wonderful shining playground. Dying to Live Life is about dying, about burning away every trace of misunderstanding. The secret is that there is no secret. Flying and dying are so simple that only a simple-fool-of-a-wise-wizard understands. Wizards are dragons-in-training. And how dieth the wise man? As the fool. --Ecclesiastes 2:16 Dying to past and future is the art of meditation. Discover the present, then meditation dies along with the false self. When you "die," something lives. You are not liberated because it is the personality, "the person," that dissolves. Only life survives. The personality feels the agony of letting go of its last addictive impulse: its belief in its separateness. The "I" must be crucified, crossed out, so that the "me" (body-mind-emotions) can dissolve into the big "Me" (God). Emotional confusion becomes mystic love. The Person awakes, the kundalini ascends into light, and the body bathes in immortal bliss.

Run far. Let go and dive. Forget the trivial. Ask ridiculous questions. Laugh at the critical moment. Think in a wink. Expand your mind. Explore emptiness. Embrace absurdity and peace.
When you least expect--ssswoosh! Another miracle. Each of us is the fool, stumbling and bumbling, straining our minds trying to understand a universe beyond our minds.
Only the Self can be known. All else is vanity and speculation. "Reality" is the burden of the beholder.
